About P3 People Management: Your HR Partner in Manchester and Beyond

In 2024, I proudly celebrated 20 years as the Managing Director of P3 People Management, and I feel just as passionate about our purpose today as I did when I set up the business.

Mr role has evolved and now I work on a more strategic basis with clients. With a strong commercial and pragmatic approach, my objective is to development and implement strategic plans and initiatives that align with the organisation’s vision and goals.

My role with our P3 team is to coach, mentor and provide opportunities for the personal and professional development.

As an Insights Discovery certified practitioner, I use the Insights framework to understand and leverage the different personality types and preferences of the people I work with, enabling them to achieve their full potential and collaborate effectively.

When I switch off from work, you will mostly find me outdoors. Blessed to live on the coast, I have the mountains and the sea to keep me calm and occupied.

My HR career has taken me across diverse industries — pharmaceutical services, market research, defence, and outsourced sales & marketing — giving me a deep understanding of different workplace cultures.

For the past eight years at P3 People Management, I’ve had the privilege of working with fantastic SME businesses across professional services and manufacturing. I thrive on building strong relationships, tackling complex employment matters, and coaching managers to drive positive outcomes. With a strong focus on employee relations, I help businesses reduce risk, navigate tricky HR challenges, and implement change projects that enhance efficiency and workplace culture.

Outside of HR, I’m a self-confessed magpie—always on the lookout for unique homewares and trinkets (John Lewis and independent shops are my weakness!). Running is my reset button—I completed my first 10K in 2022 and even pushed through a half marathon. Fresh air and endorphins keep me going!

I have been a dedicated member of P3PM since 2017, working with a diverse range of SMEs.

My role at P3 is a little different in that I provide comprehensive HR support to clients, offering day-to-day employee advice, managing projects, and handling HR data, including HR systems. My expertise helps shape informed decision-making processes.

During my time here I have successfully led several key projects, including both local and global employee surveys, the implementation of new HR systems, the role out of new contracts of employment and employee handbooks. Systems and data are my specialty, ensuring the best outcomes for every situation.

I pride myself on my attention to detail and inquisitive nature, ensuring the best outcomes for every situation.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, often dining out or catching up over a glass of wine. I have also recently rekindled my passion for running.

Originally from London, my husband and I made the move up to Manchester in 2007 and have called it home ever since. My career was predominantly in the hospitality industry, however, 3 children later I had to re-evaluate my career options. I spent just over four years working in Tesco as an Admin Assistant. Within this role I gained a wealth of experience to add to my knowledge I had already in HR. I started my journey with P3 in April 2021 and have not looked back. I love the variety of clients that I look after, no one day is the same and I am constantly learning within a team of experienced HR professionals. I have also gained my CIPD Associate level 5 qualification, with the support of the team.

When I am not at work, I am mostly kept busy running around after my 3 children, Jessika, Charlie & Emilie, oh and my chihuahua, Stanley!

I love going to visit my family in Stafford, catching up with friends & going for long walks (if it’s not raining – I am 100% a summer person) In the winter you’ll find me mostly at home, in my onesie and slippers!

My HR career has taken me across a mix of fast-paced, high-volume industries such as manufacturing, retail, and adult social care, as well as professional services like marketing, finance, and operations.

With a strong generalist background, I also spent five years in an operational management role to gain hands-on commercial experience—an invaluable insight that has shaped my approach to HR as a true driver of business success.

I enjoy problem-solving and supporting others, whether that’s navigating complex employee relations matters or helping leaders implement changes that make a real impact.

Outside of work, I love exploring both the UK and further afield and have already trained my four-year-old to handle multi-city trips abroad! DIY is another passion, though my enthusiasm often outpaces my completion rate—I tend to start new projects before finishing the three or so I already have on the go, usually after watching an Instagram video and convincing myself I can lay a patio or rewire a house.
