Staff Documentation & Procedures

If you do not currently have staff files, employment contracts or written policies and procedures don’t panic!

We will discuss with you what your legal obligations are as an employer and how we can help you meet these whilst also protecting your business.  Depending upon the results of your People Management Assessment we will provide the following

Contract of employment: your staff must have some written form of terms and conditions of employment within 8 weeks of starting employment with you.  We ensure you have appropriate clauses to protect your business, your customers, your suppliers and your people.  Examples include:

standard contract template;

fixed term contract (i.e. for one year project or maternity cover);

zero hours (i.e. where you cannot guarantee a minimum number of hours of work);

comprehensive contract template (additional enhanced clauses based on seniority and specific business requirements).

Employee Handbook: having all the relevant policies and procedures in place will ensure staff know what is expected of them and that you manage them in line with current legislation and best practice whilst also providing you with a level of defence in the event of any potential Employment Tribunal claim.  We can provide:

basic structure and document for small and / or new start up businesses; or

bespoke and more comprehensive document to meet your specific business needs

Policies: best practice, statutory and bespoke to meet your individual business needs. May be included in the Employee Handbook or provided separately for you. Examples include: (too many to mention here)

Disciplinary

Grievance

Social Media in the workplace

Maternity

Dignity at Work (anti – bullying)
