John Pugh

John is an internationally experienced executive having lived and worked in Iran, USA, United Arab Emirates, Germany, Italy and Africa undertaking FD and MD roles for multinational plc divisions and subsidiaries. This experience includes roles in diverse sectors including manufacturing, service, food, fmcg, packaging and distribution, engineering, chemicals, construction, waste management, automotive and leisure as well as the public sector.

For the past 22 years John, as an interim manager, has focussed on crisis and turnaround undertakings in both the Plc and SME sectors, often under referral from major banks. This experience has included a number of MBI and MBO transactions working directly with several PE and VC clients.

During this time John has undertaken roles as diverse as mainstream financial management of a £700m turnover manufacturing company within the defence sector, interim MD managing the closure of a £60m, 5 manufacturing site large construction industry client on behalf of the £1b parent company, guiding the business  through a major redundancy programme involving 700 employees, through to undertaking the successful transformation management back to profitability of a £3m subsidiary within a £100m Danish based group

A significant emphasis within the crisis management roles has been centred on implementing and managing strategic initiative based turnarounds, business development, process re-engineering, change management and business transformations.
